27th Annual Perry Dogwood Festival

Preparations for the 27th Annual Perry Dogwood Festival are currently underway.  The 2015 festival is scheduled for Saturday, April 11th & Sunday, April 12th. We anticipate another successful Dogwood Festival in beautiful, historic Perry, Georgia. The Perry Dogwood Festival Arts & Crafts Show is a two day event beginning Saturday morning with the crafters, food vendors, a youth entertainment stage, dog dock diving competition, and kids zone opening at 10am and closing at 6pm. After the Arts & Crafts show, we encourage you to come out to the Georgia National Fairgrounds for our Hot Air Balloon Rally.  It will be a relaxing, family friendly atmosphere. Just bring blankets or lawn chairs & a picnic dinner and enjoy live entertainment, a kid’s zone, wonderful food vendors, and a beautiful Hot Air Balloon Glow. The Arts & Crafts Show will re-open Sunday at 12 Noon and close at 5pm.

A Letter from the Dogwood Festival Founders

Welcome to 27 years of showcasing Perry, Georgia to the world! The Dogwood Festival started as a way to bring local people together to celebrate the beauty of Perry in the spring and to invite all of Georgia to discover our unique downtown area!

As active business owners in downtown Perry, we served on the ‘Downtown Promotional Council’ and wanted to promote the beautiful heart of Perry. After brainstorming ideas, we all decided a festival would be effective and fun. “Cherry Blossom” was taken; “Gnats” didn’t strike the right chord and so, after driving through the streets and seeing the gorgeous blooms, “Dogwood Festival” seemed to paint the perfect picture.  The community embraced the festival as individuals, business owners and civic organizations participated and sponsored the many events. We had no idea that our initial community effort would take root and grow into the nationally recognized event that it is today. This wonderful festival could not have happened without the support and enthusiasm of our community!
